Lecture at the Department of Science Studies Doomsday

The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012. Various theories about the end of the world inspires a new study of communication sciences at Texas Tech University, USA.

Lecturer Department of Communication Studies, Chip Miller will teach the program that opened in the fall of 2012.

"The inspiration comes from the hysteria of this study which includes the particulars on the Mayan calendar 2012. Throughout history, we have made an interesting prediction of doom," said Miller.

Students can learn various theories about the apocalypse. They also studied the impact of this theory in the social life of the community.

"In this program, we will explore the various ways we discussed the apocalypse. Program will recite their implications on public space.'s Where the debate took place, including discussing our capacity to make changes to the public or the environment. I think two things are intertwined," he added .

Word
Miller's research did not involve the apocalypse. Ideas about the apocalypse and the overarching theory has always attracted attention.

"If we are able to survive the 2012 also, there are many other theories that may occur. I am interested in any stories that frame or reposition our community with a slightly different way," added Miller.

Zombie, the Mayans, the book of revelation, the Y2K phenomenon, until the transition of all the world clock at the end of an example scenario that has been around about the end.

This study will be grounded in theories of science from the book. Miller does not believe will use the Bible as a source of teaching material.

"I think our culture, are always interested in the story of the beginning and end of the world. We are interested in the story in the Book of Genesis, just as we are fascinated with the apocalypse. I think there is a strong element of theology that affect our culture," he explained.

This program is just one part with about 15 open slots. As an illustration, approximately 50 million Americans believe the world will end in their time of life. This percentage is an opportunity to study the science of Resurrection.

Discussion of this trend fueled by the boredom of Resurrection the people in their daily lives. Talking about the end of the world as a flight from earthly things.

"I hope they get a better understanding of the role of the apocalyptic fantasies of all time. Program is also exploring the role of our relationship with the world around us. By nature we are in accordance with that purpose, as well as in religion," Miller said as quoted from page Dailytoreador.com.

This guy was joking when the Mayans correct, then the last chance this year to teach about the Resurrection.
